◊Are you interested in the law, legal procedures, or acting? ◊Do you have some free time after school twice a week? If you answered "yes" to these questions, then Mock Trial is for you! ◊Join in one of the great organizations Logan Elm High School has to offer. Attending scrimmages, practices and competitions are required. Practices are after school two days a week and last an hour and a half. What is mock trial? Mock Trial is a competitive team activity. Students play the roles of witnesses and lawyers against teams from area schools at district competition with the goal to advance and win a State Championship. When does mock trial meet? Practices are Tuesdays and Fridays after school until 4:30 pm. Scrimmages are held with up to three area schools in preparation for competition. They are typically held after school during the month of January. Some weekends may be used as well. * Please note that we will try to be flexible with all extracurricular schedules. Legal and Acting Assistance: Mrs. Jayme Fountain an attorney with the Pickaway County Prosecutors Office graciously donates| her time to asist us in our legal preparation. Mrs. Holley, our Drama Club Advisor, will work on character development with all members as well. Recognition: Best Witness and Best Lawyer Awards are given out at competition. Logan Elm Team Shenanigans swept both of their trials by defeating Teays Valley Team Blue and Columbus Premier Academy! Team Shenanigans took home all individual awards with Best Attorney Awards going to Caleb Betz and Nikki Grambo and Best Witness Awards going to Nikki Grambo and Clint Martin. Team Shenanigans will compete in Regional Competition at a site to be determined on Friday, February, 26th! Logan Elm Team Epic split their two trials by loosing to Circleville Team Black and defeating Teays Valley Team Gold. Team Epic took home one individual award with Best Witness going to Trey White.
